Some stories are whispered. Mine had to be screamed through the fire.

Welcome to Flames & Grace!

This is blog is more than a collection of stories; it’s a sanctuary for anyone who has ever felt unseen, unheard, or broken.

Each entry stands powerfully on its own, yet together they create a tapestry of struggle, survival, and the transformative strength found through faith.

This space was born from survival & the sacred act of sharing.

Life has tested me beyond what seemed bearable. Trauma, rejection, abuse, and loss felt woven into my very DNA, persistently threatening to extinguish any hope for love, peace, or belonging.

Yet, despite every obstacle, I’m still here. Transformed and refined by the very flames intended to consume me.

This is my story: real, raw, and unfiltered.

In sharing my truth, I hope you find echoes of your own journey and comfort in knowing that healing, resilience, and belonging are always within reach.

Whether you’re in the thick of your own storm or learning to breathe again after the fire, you’ll find reflections here that remind you: you’re not alone, and you’re not broken beyond repair.

A Note Before You Begin

The stories shared here are personal & rooted in my lived experiences, shaped by my lens, and offered with an open heart. They’re not universal truths or prescriptive paths. They’re just that… my truths.

Topics like trauma, healing, and mental health are deeply personal and often messy. What holds meaning for me might land differently for you, and that’s okay. My goal isn’t to speak for anyone else’s experience, but simply to show up, vulnerably and honestly, with mine.

As you read, I invite you to do so with gentleness and curiosity. This space is offered not as an answer, but as an an honest and real exploration & connection point.

If something here resonates, I hope it brings comfort or clarity. If it doesn’t, I hope you find the voices and spaces that do.

You’re welcome here, because your healing matters, too.

Why Was It So Hard to Love Me, Mom?

From the moment I could understand love, I was taught that it had to be earned, not freely given. My mother, diagnosed but unwilling to accept her Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), lived in a world of emotional extremes: love and hate, tenderness and cruelty,...

Why am I still here?

.... From the moment I entered this world, I was a mistake. A burden."Unwanted. Unloved." These words became the silent echoes that shaped my existence. My childhood is a scattered puzzle, pieces lost to time and secrecy. What I do know is that my biological father...

Embracing Vulnerability: The Path to Emotional Freedom

Vulnerability has always felt like a paradox: something that can simultaneously break us down and build us up. Growing up, I believed strength meant hiding my pain, suppressing my emotions, and never revealing my true self. But life, with its relentless lessons, has...

Lost, Found, and Forever Loved: This Is Why I Believe

My faith and belief in God are as unconventional as my life itself. My faith isn’t something neat or structured. It isn’t something I can package into a perfect explanation. But it is deeply real. It has been my anchor, my survival, the thread that has held me...

Starting Over: The Lonely, Unfamiliar Path of Healing

Do you think of healing as a journey? Me too. But what no one tells you is that it feels less like following a well-marked path and more like being dropped into an unfamiliar world without a map. For so long, I operated on a radar tuned to recognize certain types of...

You Are Not Failing, You Are Healing

The Illusion of the Healing Glow-Up Healing is often painted as a beautiful transformation, a magnificent rise from the ashes, a radiant glow-up where everything falls into place, and the pain of the past vanishes into the abyss. But if you’ve ever truly fought to...
